Since January 4, 1993, Radio
Slovakia International (RSI) has been your ultimate source for the juiciest
scoop about Slovakia, right from the heart of Europe! Bursting onto the scene
almost simultaneously with the birth of independent Slovakia, RSI started
broadcasting in English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, and Slovak,
spreading the vibrant stories of this new nation to listeners across the globe.
From day one, RSI was dedicated
to connecting with the world, sharing insights about Slovakia, and keeping the
numerous Slovak expatriate communities in touch with their roots. As part of
Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska (Radio and Television Slovakia), the nation's
premier public broadcasting organization, RSI continues to shine as a beacon of
Slovak culture and information.
Though RSI has bid farewell to
shortwave broadcasting from Slovakia, it now delivers captivating half-hour
shows daily in multiple languages via the internet and satellite. These dynamic
30-minute magazine programs are packed with the latest news, fascinating
features on the Slovak economy, sciences, culture, geography, environment, and sports,
as well as showcases of spoken, written, and musical arts, and profiles of
notable personalities.

International: Reception Reports & QSL Cards 📬
Even though RSI has ceased
shortwave broadcasts, it still values listener feedback and reception reports,
rewarding them with exclusive QSL cards. In 2017, to honor Jozef Miloslav
Hurban, the first chairman of the Slovak National Council and a hero of the
Slovak Uprising of 1848-1849, RSI issued special commemorative QSL cards. To
snag one of these collector's items, just include the following in your report:
1. The date and time you tuned in.
2. How you listened (shortwave, internet, WRN, etc.).
3. Signal strength and clarity (if applicable).
4. Your thoughts on the broadcast content.
5. Your postal address.
