ডয়েচে ভেলে জার্মান  বেতার তরঙ্গ ঊর্দ্দূ বিভাগ এবছর পালন করছে ৫৬তম সম্প্রচার বর্ষ। সারা বিশ্বের ঊর্দ্দূভাষী শ্রোতাদের জন্য ১৯৬৪ সালের ১৪ই আগস্ট ঈথারে আত্মপ্রকাশ করে DW Urdu Service। আগামী ১৪ই আগস্ট ২০২০ DW Urdu Service 56 Years উৎসবে মেতে উঠছে।

ডয়েচে ভেলের সাথে আমার সম্পর্ক নেহাত শ্রোতাসম্পর্কের মাঝে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিলনা, তা সবাই জানেন। আজকের এই পরিসরে সেই কাসুন্দি ঘাঁটতে চাচ্ছিনা। শ্রেফ এই ৫৬বর্ষপূর্তী উৎযাপন সূচনা লগ্নে আমার হঠাৎ করে খুঁজে পাওয়া ১১ বছর আগের ইমেইলটা এখানে তুলে ধরছি।

The Urdu Service of Deutsche Welle, Germany's international radio and television station, is celebrating 45 years of its existence on Friday, Aug. 14.Deutsche Welle started its Urdu broadcast on the same day 45 years ago in 1964.

Since then DW Urdu programs have been reaching their countless listeners in South Asia and the rest of the world, for many years only by radio and since many years also through internet. Today the Urdu Service of DW from the former German capital of Bonn is journalistically valued very high by our traditional listeners and multimedia users from across the globe.

The Urdu team of Deutsche Welle wants to thank and acknowledge on this occasion the dedicated listeners and users who have contributed hugely to the success of this ‘Urdu broadcast from the heart of Europe’ during the past so many years through their feedback.

We want to express our profound gratitude for hundreds of our listeners for their greetings on this occasion which they sent to us in their letters, phone calls, emails, voicemails and SMS messages. We also want to congratulate our Pakistani and Indian listeners home and abroad on the Independence days of Pakistan and India on Aug. 14th and 15th respectively.
