Since 1987, Wimbledon has been held in the final week of June and the first week of July (however, it was moved to the first two weeks of July in 2017). It is a Third of the Four Grand Slam tournaments in the tennis season. Due to World War I, the tournament was not conducted from 1915 to 1918 and again from 1940 to 1945 due to World War II. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the competition was also canceled in 2020. 

Womens' single is an attractive event from this long history of Wimbledon, and only a few nations are able to grab the Champions' Trophy. Czech is one of the proud nations that have his crown. In the year 1998, Jana Novotná makes the dream a reality. Petra Kvitová won two times again for her nation Czech.
