Every Month Radio Prague announce their monthly quiz contest "Test your Knowledge of things Czech". The highest state distinction is Radio Prague October 2020 Quiz focusing area. Radio Prague October 2020 Quiz Question:
On Czechoslovak Independence Day (October 28th) the president hands out high state distinctions. What is the highest state distinction one can be awarded in this country?
This order has a year old history. In the year 1922, it was inaugurated and amended in the year 1924. From 1922 to 1961 It was created as an award for merit by Czechoslovakia for foreign
citizens. The Order was established in five classes and two divisions. One is for civil (with two crossed palms above
the badge) and another for military (with two crossed swords above the badge).
Medals were made of gold and silver. The classes are:
- I Class with Collar: it was introduced in 1924 and reserved for the heads of state. [Collar can be awarded separately].
- I Class: the Grand cross- This order was limited to 250 recipients
- II Class: the Grand Officer- It was also limited to 400 recipients
- III Class: Commander- Order limited to 900 recipients
- IV Class: Officer- The cross of this was smaller than the cross of the II/III class. It was limited to 1500 recipients and
- V Class: the Knight –This silver cross was similar than IV Class. This class was limited to 3000 recipients

The Order of White Lion re-established as the highest decoration of Czech in the year 1994. Since 1994, this order is awarded by the President of the Czech Republic to
Czech citizens and foreigners alike for outstanding services to the Czech
Republic. Like the past, still this is order is awarded into the five class.
