In December – Radio Northern Star from FB
In a delightful turn of events,
Radio Northern Star joyfully reports its return to the frequencies of 1611 and
5895 kHz, all thanks to the expertise of their new technician. Despite the
challenges posed by ongoing construction at the broadcast site, the team has
ingeniously implemented mobile streaming as a solution, ensuring that the
airwaves remain alive with the sounds of inspiration.
With the regular internet
connection down due to construction work, the station has taken this
opportunity to enhance the sound settings on 1611, promising an even more
enriching listening experience. Anticipating occasional downtimes, the team
remains resolute in bringing the station back to life.
Reflecting on past announcements
made on December 7th, it was shared that the transmitter house at Askøy
Kringkaster was undergoing restoration, leading to the temporary suspension of
AM/medium and shortwave transmissions. With optimism in their hearts, the team
has reapplied for all four frequencies, eagerly awaiting their return, likely
in January.
During this interim period, 5G broadcasting continues seamlessly with three stations, providing a digital
haven for listeners. The team extends warm wishes for a magical adventure, a
joyous Christmas, and a prosperous New Year to all its valued listeners.
Expressing gratitude to the
audience for their unwavering support during these challenging times, Radio
Northern Star encourages listeners to stay connected through various digital
channels, including the Web of Radio Northern Star.
Together., Let's keep the spirit of Radio Northern Star shining brightly!
