Voice of Mongolia Transmitter Sites and Antenna Details
The signal is transmitted by VOM
straight from its Khonkhor Transmitting Station. It is located around 25
kilometers east of Mongolia's capital, Ulan Bator. Voice of Mongolia
still uses Soviet-made 100, 250, and 500 kW transmitters and curtain
antennas built in the mid-sixties. The transmissions beamed to East Asia. It
has fair reception in South America. South Asian broadcasts can be heard in
Southern Africa and Europe as well.
